Course: 23750 - Intermediate - Sport Climbing Monday Aug. 10 & 17


This intermediate level climbing course will teach you all you need to know in order to get started sport climbing on artificial climbing walls. It is two sessions with the first session being a 3 hour session and the second being a 2 hour session. Intro to sport climbing will guide you through how to properly operate the equipment associated with sport climbing, How to belay a lead climber, and how to take a fall while lead climbing. This course is taught by instructors who are certified through the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides.

This course is designed for intermediate climbers and proficiency with top rope belaying is required for success in this course. If you have any questions, please contact the climbing coordinator, mario.ferreira@umanitoba.ca.

Requests to cancel must be received in writing a minimum of 10 days prior to the booking in order to obtain a refund. Cancellations received within 10 days of the booking will result in the forfeiture of the total amount.
