A statement on Sport and Recreation Facilities and Programming

The University of Manitoba is committed to preventing the spread of COVID-19. Therefore, the University of Manitoba has made the difficult decision to cancel Mini U summer programming and swimming lessons which were originally scheduled to operate from July 6 to Sept. 4, 2020.

As you may be aware, the provincial government has included fitness centres in the June 1, 2020 second phase of reopening. The Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management is currently working hard to reopen its sport and recreation facilities. This process, however, may present different and longer timelines for re-opening than the province’s, as we must ensure the health and safety of everyone we serve. We value your patience and will share information as soon as it is available.

If you originally registered and paid for your courses online, please allow up to 14 days for the credit to appear on your MasterCard/Visa statement. If you registered and paid in person we will be contacting you to make arrangements for a refund.

We thank you for understanding. We value your business and appreciate your patience as we navigate this evolving situation.
