The aquatics programs are designed to allow for progression with classes focusing on stroke development and swimming techniques. These low-impact classes are an excellent form of exercise as they develop strength, endurance, and cardio.
Just getting your feet wet? Tots programs will help young swimmers become comfortable in the water while having fun and learning basic swimming skills.
Learn to swim at your own rate without worrying about passing or failing levels! Our I Can Swim program (children only) allows swimmers to acquire swim skills in a fun atmosphere. Group I Can Swim lessons are taught in a class with a 1:5/6 ratio with children with similar swim skills. Click the Search button to see the list of current programs. For programs only on specific days, select the corresponding Day of Week.
Learn to swim at your own rate without worrying about passing or failing levels! Private/Semi-Private lessons (children and adults) allow swimmers to acquire swim skills in a fun atmosphere. Private (1:1) / semi-private (1:2-5) lessons are designed for children and adults with similar swim abilities who may benefit from more personalized instruction. Private/semi-private program registration must be done in-person at the Active Living Centre on the Fort Garry Campus.
These programs are a great complement to the I Can Swim Programs, or may be taken by any individuals who have completed the program.
